About Us: Safe Steps United
Our Mission
At Safe Steps United, our mission is to help prevent community violence by equipping young people with the conflict resolution skills, safety awareness, and decision-making tools they need to navigate pressure, risk, and high-stakes situations.
We advance this mission through prevention education, skill-building resources, workshop programs, community partnerships, and practical safety tools for children, youth, families, and the organizations that serve them.
We develop youth-centered, prevention-focused educational resources that help young people recognize unsafe situations, redirect escalating conflict, make safer decisions, and strengthen personal responsibility and consideration for others. Our resources are designed to be practical, accessible, and adaptable for use in schools, homes, community programs, diversion initiatives, and other youth-serving environments.
We believe safer communities are built through collaboration. That is why we work alongside schools, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, families, and public safety partners to expand access to conflict resolution and prevention resources in communities disproportionately affected by violence.
Our commitment is clear: to equip and support young people while standing with the families, organizations, and communities working toward safer, stronger, and more hopeful futures.
Creating Safer Communities

Safe Steps United provides practical, prevention-focused educational resources, workshop programs, and tools that support conflict resolution, safety awareness, and responsible decision-making for young people ages 5 to 24.
Our goal is not to duplicate the work already taking place in communities. We seek to strengthen that work — equipping the educators, organizations, and public safety partners already serving young people with resources they can put to use immediately.
