Building Safer Futures Starts With Prevention
Our Mission
At Safe Steps United, our mission is to help prevent youth and community violence by equipping young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make safer decisions, manage conflict, recognize risk, and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
We provide practical, prevention-focused education through youth safety resources, workshops, school and community programs, and partnerships with organizations that serve children, teens, and families.
Our programs focus on real-world skills including conflict resolution, violence prevention, firearm safety, emotional regulation, decision-making, personal responsibility, and recognizing unsafe situations before they escalate.
We design our resources to be clear, age-appropriate, and adaptable for use in schools, homes, community organizations, diversion programs, and other youth-serving environments.
We also believe lasting change requires collaboration. Safe Steps United works alongside educators, families, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, public safety partners, and other stakeholders to expand access to prevention education in communities affected by violence.
Our goal is simple: help young people build the skills to choose safer paths while strengthening the families, schools, and communities working to create safer futures.

Safe Steps United provides practical, prevention-focused educational resources, workshop programs, and tools that support conflict resolution, safety awareness, and responsible decision-making for young people ages 5 to 24.
Our goal is not to duplicate the work already taking place in communities. We seek to strengthen that work — equipping the educators, organizations, and public safety partners already serving young people with resources they can put to use immediately.
